Dear daughters,
I just finished the most beautiful session with my psychologist. It was all about worth and whether someone else’s opinion of you can affect your core worth.
Kylie, my psychologist told me this story and I want to share it with you so you can hold it in your heart too…
There was a world famous violinist. He would play massive theatres and people would pay big money to travel from far and wide to see him play. One day he went in to the subway and was busking. Not one person stopped to listen to him, not a dollar was put in his violin case. But does this change whether his talent was still there and whether he was truly worthy? No. In the subway he was in the wrong setting, in amongst the wrong people who were so busy with their own things that they could not stop long enough to hear his talent or see his worth.
The lessons here are:
⁃ You are worthy no matter what other people think or see. Their opinions of you do not change your talent/worth
⁃ If your worth is not being seen, it is probably because you are surrounded by the wrong people
I hope I have explained this well and portrayed the lessons.
This single story has redefined for me, how I see my worth.
Please know that worth is not something you need to earn or work hard to get. You are worthy just by being you. Worthy of respect and love and all the good things in life. If you are not getting these things from those around you, find your theatres/environments and those people who will see and appreciate your worth.
I love you with all my heart
Mum xx
